Terrie Johnson traces her beginning to a small town in the heart of the
South, called Red Bank, Tennessee. It was there, in the foothills of the
Great Smoky Mountains, that Terrie developed her appreciation and
love for family, a passion for gardening and farming, and just a trace
of a southern accent that will never disappear.
Growing up in the church and yet rejecting the truth of God's grace,
Terrie lived a double life. One person inside the walls of the church
on Sundays, another person altogether when the doors of the church
closed. Then on September 27, 1999, a cold and rainy Monday
afternoon, Terrie's lifetime of pretense, sin, and despair came to a
grinding halt as she met Jesus Christ in a dramatic and life-changing
manner.
A single mother to Matt, daughter-in-law Becca, Brad, and Meghann, Terrie
is always on the move. Add to her family responsibilities the
commitment of being a member of the women's ministry and drama
teams at her home church and serving as a frequent speaker at
various women's events across the country. Her tireless energy and
great enthusiasm for serving God is dynamic and contagious. She is a
freelance writer (one of her published poems, Freedom's Glory, is displayed in the White House, and she is the author of the book Lord, Help! Here Comes Mom), a former professor of English and Spanish, and currently employed as senior editor at an advertising agency in Kansas City.
Terrie's clever sense of humor combined with her deep passion for knowing God will touch your heart and delight your spirit. Drawing from God's Word and her own life experiences, Terrie shares with your group in a style that elicits laughter, tears, and understanding. God is consistently using Terrie's unique style of presentation and her willingness to serve to impact the lives of women across the United States.
